Queen Rania: “Send me your stereotypes”

I just switched on Swiss TV, and on the news they were reporting on Queen Rania's YouTube premiere. She asks the world to send her their stereotypes of the Arab world.

As this is the kind of topic that fits the Road to Davos and the Guildford forum, I thought the people reading this blog may find her video interesting:

What are your thoughts on the questions she raises?

Wow, I completly agree with Queen Rhania, we must pull down the stereotypes and prejudices. We often tend to build up prejudices and stereotypes of different cultures, because we don’t really know them and that I believe is the main factor that creates these steryotypes: the fear of the unknown. That which we don’t know tends to scare us, so we build up walls of prejudices to “defend” ourselves from the unknown and do not get hurt.

But those walls that we build, ultimatly blind us from reality!!!! That is why in order to demolish that wall we must build a strong bondage of undestanding between cultures. If we get to know different people from different cultures and we realize that those prejudices are not real, but just a mere wall that we have built, then those stereotypes will fall and we will be able to build that bond of understanding.

It is only by means of dialogue that we can really make prejudices and stereotypes that blind us fall!!!

I’am sure you mean well ,however even you are ignorant of many things that take place in the Arab world.Firstly Islam seem to be a counterfeit Judaism,it claims to be an extension of both Christianity and Judaism neither of which was narrated to humans via angels. You claim the west is misrepresenting the Arab culture but are not Arabs doing the same.I have many questions but you are a busy person if you wish to become an expert on Arab and Islamic culture dress up as a man and go out in the backstreets at night, there you will see the real life then talk to me .
