Global Youth Summit 2010, Latin America Youth Summit 2010, Team Tuesday
And once again it's Team Tuesday - and once again it's pretty darn hot in lovely Bern, Switzerland. If your idea of the country extends only to snow-topped mountains, think again: we're currently dealing with temperatures over 30°C, which for us is more or less boiling point. Which may also be why Gaby and Kath decided to jump in the river Aare to cool down. And cool down they did: at 18°C, the Aare pretty much feels like an alpine stream. (Gaby wasn't best pleased with that part.)
In the meantime, we're all insanely busy: the Latin America and Caribbean Youth Summit starts in less than two weeks, and some of us (read: me) are travelling over there on Monday, 26 July to help with the training of the peer facilitators. Then there's the call for applications for the Global Youth Summit 2010 (21-27 November) which has gone live. Talking of which: anyone interested in becoming a peer facilitator for the GYS 2010 may want to check the website on Friday morning.
Gaby, who's warmed up a bit after her river escapades, also forwarded me the following link: http://www.berlinconference.org/2010/. The 2010 Berlin Conference, which takes place in October, will be on the topic of the "Social dimensions of environmental change and governance". Perhaps a bit more academic than the usual Changemakers' activities, but still worth checking out - not least for the virtual panels they'll offering!
And another Gaby tidbit: she'll be chatting on Skype (global.changemakers) tomorrow afternoon at 14-15h CET.
And that's already it... other than the completely unsubstantiated rumour that Fran could be observed today chasing a butterfly through the British Council offices in Bern. Metaphor or not? You decide!

Waaooo!!!
What a wonderful opportunity! This is just what i have been yeaning for all this while and i think it is just what my organization and i do here in Ghana particularly for the most vulnerable of which the youth are a key target.
Hopping that this opportunity wouldn’t slip by.
Thanks and kudos!
