In January 2009 the British Council brought sixty Global Changemakers from around the world to Guildford, UK for a week of workshops, discussions and visits to community-based organisations.
Their goal was twofold: to choose six of their own who would represent them at the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos, and to begin development of their Community Action Projects (CAPs).
At the WEF Annual Meeting, the six representatives - Charlie from the UK, Sarah and James from Malawi, Ohm from the United States, Meeran from Pakistan and Elsabe from Namibia - spoke eloquently about the concerns of young people.
